2019 Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition
Turning heads on and off the trail, the 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition has rugged capability and reliability as well as distinctive looks. The Nissan Pathfinder, which is already a strong mid-sized SUV, is the perfect starting point for this special variant, as it gives you power, technology, and seating for seven without any frills. The Rock Creek Edition then takes the base designs and capabilities and adds offroad-ready upgrades to make the vehicle perfect for the trail. It is offered on two of the four different trim levels, the SV and SL.
Power and Technology
At the heart of every ’19 Nissan Pathfinder is the standard 3.5-liter V6 engine with a continuously variable transmission. This gives the Pathfinder 284 horsepower – more than enough power for swift accelerations from stops and for merging and passing. This is also a big reason why the Pathfinder has the best-in-class standard towing capacity of 6,000 lb. While you can get the Rock Creek as a 4×2, the 4×4 along with the 18-inch dark-finished wheels and P255/60R18 all-season tires should make you feel more comfortable tackling all driving conditions on and off the road.
Nissan strives to give the important technology to each trim level and the ’19 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek edition is no exception. The 2019 Pathfinder continues to provide standard features such as the intelligent cruise control and blind spot warning which are standard for both trim levels of the Rock Creek Edition. While the SV trim level doesn’t have all of the extra technological features that you get standard in the SL, there is a Technology Package that gets you there with the Nissan Navigation system, NissanConnect Services, SiriusXM Traffic (with 3 years of complimentary subscription), heated seats, heated steering wheel, and heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals. This package only costs $980, which is much less than upgrading to the next trim level to add the features.
One of the most desirable traits that the Rock Creek Edition has is its interior and exterior design. This vehicle not only feels comfortable on and off the road, with its Rock Creek leatherette and cloth seating, but it also has the look to back it. Besides the trim-specific badging, the exterior has black styling on the grille, side mirrors, overfenders, door handles, splash guards, and roof rails. You will also find a tow hitch receiver with a 7-pin wiring harness. The interior of the Rock Creek Edition adds comfort and design with their EZ FLEX seating system, which consists of split-folding second and third rows that allow you to comfortably fit passengers and gear.
